Regular Membership

Regular members are able to respond to fire calls, can become certified for interior firefighting, and participate in all company functions. You may also become a regular member and opt not to become an interior firefighter just assist with exterior opperations.

  • Must be age 18 and over
  • Must be able to pass physical examination
  • Must be willing to commit time to training and company events
  • There will be a $25.00 application fee due at time of interview

Steps to becoming a Regular Member

  1. Submit application for regular membership
  2. Attend an interview with the membership committee
  3. Company members must vote to accept application at the montly meeting
  4. If application is accepted you must go for a physical examination required by the city.
  5. Upon passing the physical the company members must vote to accept you as a member
  6. Upon acceptance you will be sworn in as a probationary member of the company
  7. As a probationary member you will be required to participate in training and take the state of CT Firefighter 1 course.
  8. Once you have successfully completed your probationary training the company will vote you in as a regular member.
